Traditional Intaglio Printmaking, Sunday, June 9th, 11-5pm

$130.00

In this workshop we’ll explore various ways of making marks on copper plates with indirect and direct methods. Working on copper plates you will draw through a wax ground, etch and print in the traditional intaglio manner. I will also demonstrate how you can work directly on copper plates with drypoint methods to increase the range of line and tonal quality. If time permits I will also show how you can incorporate watercolor monotype techniques to add color to your prints. Open to artists of all levels, no experience needed.

All supplies are included in the class fee. Bring sketches, ideas, and an open mind. I will send out an email approximately a week before the workshop with specifics as far as imagery size and other pertinent info.

This workshop will take place at Anchorlight Project Space, 1401 S.Bloodworth St, Raleigh, NC 27610.

Please contact me, Susan Martin, shmartin@gmail.com with questions.

(Please do not contact Anchorlight as I am the organizer. Thank you.)
